Smurfs are quite a famous name in the animated world. They are the creation of Sony Picture Animation and also have a movie under the production of Columbia pictures. These cute little blue guys are loved by all. The basic concept behind smurfs is that it is a village of these small little blue creatures where there is variety of characters each one of them excelling in some special characteristic. The main villain of this story is Gargamel who is a evil wizard. His main aim is to capture smurfs and use their abilities and powers to become the most powerful wizard in the world.

The Concept

The head of the smurf town has the responsibility of keeping all the smurfs happy. Based on this concept, The Smurfs Nintendo DS is a game which features many fun mini games related to smurfs and their exciting animated world. Along with mini games this product also features read along stories where it describes the various festivals especially the Blue Moon festival taking place in the smurf village and the preparations the cute little smurfs do and also the failed attempts of Gargamel, the villain, to disrupt this festival. All is provided in a narration as well as read along feature. This is a nice product for kids above 3 years age.

Overall this is a fun as well as educational game for kids and as I am a big smurf fan myself I recommend this game for kids above three. Personally I like this game a lot and think that this would make a ideal birthday gift or Christmas present for a kid. I have seen my nephew play this game and he totally loves it.
