when you download a file, it will be in .zip or .rar, extract it using WinRAR or WinZip (just right click file and press extract here), then some files will be extracted, one will be .nds and others like .info (depends from which site you download but you will atleast get the .nds file), now on your R4 there is a MicroSD Card, right??, well pull it out, and insert it into a SD cardreader (you should be having it, you get it along with the purchase of R4) ok now, plug-in the SD cardreader (with memory card inserted) to your CPU's USB Port, then at My Computer you will see a Removable Drive (J), (I) etc.. depends on how many partitions you have in your computer, ok so now right-click the nds file (wherever u extracted it) click copy, then go to My Computer, Removable Drive and paste it there, then just Safely remove the SD cardreader AFTER THE GAME HAS BEEN FULLY COPIED, and then re-insert your MicoSD Card to your R4, then R4 to slot-1 of your DS Lite or just DS and enjoy! xD

It’s only been a year since Nintendo launched their DSi handheld on the market but already they have gone one better. March 5 sees the European launch of the Nintendo DSi XL. So what’s new?
Well this time around, there isn’t really that much new but they have taken what the old console had and given it one big improvement, they’ve made it big. The screen size has increased a massive 93% over the size of the previous console.
With dual 4.2″ screens, no one is going to be squinting or straining their eyes to play their favourite Mario or Brain Training games. Even if you were happy before with the small screens, seeing your games at almost double size adds a new dimension to the experience.
While the extra large screens of the Nintendo DSi XL are its main selling point, there are plenty of other brand new features to make you consider upgrading from last year’s model. After using the new pen stylus, you won’t want to go back. The new version of the stylus is much thicker and for the first time provides an ergonomic design which won’t cramp your hand even after extended play sessions.
As well as larger, the new screens make wider viewing angles possible. This means the screens remains clear no matter what angle you are viewing from. The main benefit of this is that other people can watch you play. That’s good news if you like taking turns at games and seeing how well your friends and family play.
The Nintendo DSi XL comes with its exclusive pre-built-in software. The software is an arts edition of DS classic, Brain Training and a Camera Dictionary which provides you with information about whatever you take a photo of!
The increased size also allows for more battery power so the new console can last up to 14 hours which is 3 hours longer than the standard DSi.
So far I’ve only talked about the new features exclusive to the Nintendo DSi XL, if you don’t own a DSi already, there are a whole host of extra features which will be new to you.
Most obvious are the two built-in cameras, one on the front and one on the back. Fun software is included which lets you put lots of amusing filters on your images while you line up your shot; you could give yourself 2 heads or a balloon face for example.
As well as playing with images, you can also add fun filters to sound recordings you make. Change the pitch, speed and even temperature of your recording (w

One of the best features is that you can now easily browse the web with a built-in web browser.
The system gives its users access to the DSiShop where you can download new games or free demos at any time when you have access to the Internet.
An SD Memory Card reader allows you to save and use music files, photos and downloaded software.
There are also numerous minor improvements to the overall design, buttons layout and speakers.
One drawback is that the console is not compatible with Gameboy Advance carts, so if you’re a fan of older games, you might be happier with a DS Lite. A further drawback is that the systems is of course large and doesn’t slip into a pocket as easily although it will still fit into the pockets of most jeans.
If you think 93% larger screens, a pen stylus, built-in software and all the features of a DSi are enough to justify upgrading to a Nintendo DSi XL you will only have to wait till 5 March 2010 to get your brand new console.

When I first began trying to find out more about Nintendo DS Homebrew, I was fascinated by the concept that there were hundreds of games and applications available for my Nintendo DS – Absolutely FREE! I have to admit that I had no idea as to what Homebrew software was. I read about it in online Nintendo DS forums, and kept hearing about interesting and sometimes amazing homebrew applications and homebrew games that I could simply download for free and play them on my Nintendo DS or DS Lite.

The reality of freely available unreleased games and applications should be appealing to any handheld owner, and I am without a doubt no exception. So, just what is homebrew? A Gameboy and Nintendo DS homebrew game is software written by clever software programmers for the Nintendo DS system. With the majority of the software being of the highest quality. Homebrew vastly increases the functionality of the Nintendo DS. And boy did I discover applications. A number of the homebrew Nintendo DS Games are not up to par, but a large majority of them would make even the best commercial games jealous.

I spent a lot of time researching. I spent A whole week was spent looking for more information and doing nothing but research, and lots of homebrew game downloading, I realized that what I needed to buy was a device that allowed me to store and then play all of the homebrew software that I now had sitting on my PC hard drive. From my research I discovered that there are some 15 or 20 homebrew / development and flash kits available for the Nintendo DS and the Gameboy Advance. Simply go to your favorite search engine and type in either NINTENDO DS HOMEBREW or GAMEBOY ADVANCE HOMEBREW and you’ll get a list pages and pages long of websites that talk about, cater to, or just plain carry all of the latest FREE homebrew software. It’s almost an adventure really. And I would not be surprised if some of these hombrew programmers end up being commercial game programmers in the very near future. The quality of the games is just that good!

Both the Supercard SD and the M3 DS Simply do much more than just play homebrew Nintendo DS Roms. They play movies, mp3 music, allow you to check out your latest digital photos in the JPEG picture format that most digital cameras use. Both of these units also allow you to read ebooks right on your Nintendo DS screen in the form of TXT documents. Now, when I say movies, I really mean movies. With the included software you can convert your DVD movies to play on the Supercard SD or the M3 DS Simply, and watch your movies on the go.

The Supercard SD (SD stands for Secure Digital) and the M3 DS Simply both have an advantage over many development kits.
